SPRINGFIELD – Urbana actors Paula and Jim Arter will star in the Pulitzer-nominated drama “Love Letters” at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The play, directed by Zach Roberts, will be presented at historic High Street UMC, 230 E. High St., Springfield, as part of the Sanctuary Series, now in its 16th season.

Admission is free, though donations will be accepted to help fund the series.

“Love Letters,” written by A.R. Gurney, has been played by a host of well-known actors and centers on two characters who sit side by side reading letters written to one another over the course of 50 years.

The intensity builds as they discuss the hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, that have driven their separated lives.
