The Urbana FFA chapter held the annual cookout meeting on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Melvin Miller Park. This was the first official meeting of the 2024-2025 year. At this meeting it holds the purpose of allowing new students of our chapter to meet the new or returning FFA officers. As well as to carry out a business meeting for upcoming events. At this meeting there were 135 members and guests in attendance. The alumni provided the hamburgers and hot dogs. The Food Science class made pasta salad and baked beans. FFA members provide the rest. During this meeting the officers conducted opening/closing ceremonies and also discussed some items of business. While the meeting with the members was going on parents/guardians who attended had a discussion about alumni membership and/or volunteering to help with future events. The Urbana FFA officers and advisors would like to thank all the members and guests who attended this meeting as well as those that helped provide and serve.
