Wade and Marsha (Easterling) Meyers of Urbana will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 5. The couple were married on Oct. 5, 1974 in The First Church of the Nazarene, Springfield, Ohio, by the Rev. Verdean Owens.

Marsha is a retired licensed social worker for Mercy Memorial Hospital for 30 years.

Wade is retired from the Miami East Local Schools after serving as an educator for 49 years.

They are the parents of daughters, Lindsay and her husband Jimmie Petry of Urbana, and Whitney and her husband Major Stephen Stutzriem of Montana. The Meyerses have one granddaughter Angeline Allison.

To celebrate the occasion, the couple will attend a family and friends dinner and an out-of-state trip.
