Tigers, Indians earn wins; Triad falls

WEST LIBERTY – Nick Shifflet passed for three touchdowns and Hunter Knotts passed for two as WL-S upended Madison Plains, 33-6, in OHC football Friday night.

Each QB had two TD passes in the first half as the Tigers built up a 26-0 lead.

For WL-S, Jack Bahan had eight receptions for 187 yards and two touchdowns and Jacob Evans added two TD receptions.

In addition, Josiah Stidham rushed for 133 yards on 17 carries.

WL-S had 387 total yards compared to 137 for Madison Plains (2-3).

The Tigers (4-1) play at Northeastern next Friday night.

Mechanicsburg 41, Central 0

SPRINGFIELD – Conley Bogard threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns as Mechanicsburg defeated Catholic Central, 41-0, in OHC football Friday night.

For the Indians, Austin Haynes had 10 receptions for 215 yards and two TDs.

Mechanicsburg (4-1) hosts West Jefferson next Friday night.

Greeneview 39, Triad 7

NORTH LEWISBURG – Unbeaten Greeneview knocked off Triad, 39-7, in OHC football Friday night.

Greeneview led, 26-0, at the half.

Triad scored on a rushing touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

The Cardinals (1-4) play at Fairbanks next Friday night.
