MECHANICSBURG – The Mechanicsburg cross country team is in the midst of their 85-bag goal shoe drive. Currently 44 bags of shoes have been collected.
The team is working with Funds2Orgs.com, a national group that assists in the collection of gently-used shoes which are sent to under developed countries. These shoes are cleaned and sold locally in shops, keeping funds in their community.
Anyone wishing to donate any gently-used infant – adult shoe, boot, heel, dress, flip-flop, sandal, sports, etc. may drop off at Mechanicsburg and Urbana libraries, or Goshen Lanes/Pizza Alley, or contact Kathy Durham 937-207-8442 or Elizabeth Porter 937-244-3018 for pick-up.
