Habitat for Humanity Champaign County Ohio (HFHCCO) is building its 14th home in the county. The home will be in St. Paris for the Justin and Brittany Ropp family.

The home is being built at 228 W. Poplar St., the former location of the Sizemore home. It will be officially designated the Sizemore Habitat home in honor of Connie Sizemore Cupps, long time HFHCCO supporter, and her family.

Habitat is a nonprofit 501-3c. Their ReStore property is located at 1007 N. Main in Urbana. All donations are gratefully accepted and pick up may be arranged by calling Debby Goddard, store manager, at 937-652-2981.

Proceeds are used to ensure the build of the next home. Habitat is thankful to all who donate time and money to this valuable local mission. Everyone deserves decent housing is part of HFHCCO’s mission statement.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 15th home … to be built in 2025. Pre-application is located on the Habitat website Hfhcco.org. One may apply if they have resided in the county for at least one year, have a current job, and pay taxes. The home recipients pay an interest-free mortgage.

Businesses, churches, schools and individuals who wish to work on the home or prepare a volunteer lunch may contact board member Marcia Balmut Ward, [email protected], for information.
