Indians qualify for district golf tourney

On Tuesday, Mechanicsburg shot a 323 to place third at the Central District boys golf sectional and qualify for next week’s district tournament.

For the Indians, Anderson Reiser shot a 75, William Reiser an 81, Conner Eyink an 82 and Quinn Rockenbaugh an 85.

At the Southwest District Division II boys golf sectional on Tuesday, Urbana’s Tate Armstrong shot a 79 to advance to the district tournament for the fourth straight year. UHS shot a 368 as a team and did not advance.

Graham’s Grant Woodruff also advanced to the district tournament by shooting a 74 to place second at the sectional. Graham shot a 399 as a team and did not advance.

At the Division III boys golf sectional on Tuesday, Triad and WL-S both shot a 389 and did not advance.

Girls

At the Division II girls golf sectional at WGC on Monday, Urbana’s Morgan Richards qualified for next week’s district tournament by shooting a 97.

Urbana had a team score of 420 to place fifth overall at the sectional but did not advance and WL-S had a team score of 497 to place 11th.

At the Central District Division II girls golf sectional at Blacklick Woods on Monday, Mechanicsburg shot a 466 to place 13th.
