NEW CARLISLE – Peyton Mounce had 23 points and 17 rebounds as Urbana rallied to beat Valley View, 57-48, in the Division II girls basketball sectional on Saturday.

Mounce was 10 of 10 from the free throw line and also added 5 assists.

UHS trailed, 28-27, at the half.

For the Hillclimbers (17-6), Alex Dixon had 19 points and 5 assists and Reagan Cotner added 12 points.

Urbana advances to play Oakwood today at 7:30 p.m. here at Tecumseh High School.

WL-S wins

COVINGTON – WL-S knocked off Dixie, 52-39, in the Division III girls basketball sectional on Saturday.

For the Tigers (13-10), Bailey Poppe had 13 points and Megan Hollar and Ava Astorino each added 11.

WL-S advances to play Greeneview here on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Triad falls

SIDNEY – Russia defeated Triad, 61-8, in the Division IV girls basketball sectional on Saturday.

For the Cardinals (3-20), Kaley Nott had 5 points and 2 rebounds.

GHS plays P. Shawnee

COVINGTON – Graham will play Preble Shawnee here on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Division III girls basketball sectional.
