BEAVERCREEK – The Mechanicsburg girls bowling team won the OHC tournament at Beaver Vu Lanes on Saturday.
The Indians were led by Ashton Waller, who rolled a 547 and Taylor Rausch, who rolled a 506. Waller finished in first place as an individual for the tournament.
Gwen Westfall was named OHC Player of the Year for the girls as she finished with a season-high average of 192.
Also for the Indians at the tournament, Hannah Dingledine had a 181, 185 for a 366, Kendall Rausch a 152, 154 for a 306 and Faith Ford a 157.
No other OHC tournament results were reported by press time.
On Friday, the Mechanicsburg girls bowling team won a tri-match with Bellefontaine and Ben Logan in non-conference action. Mechanicsburg had a 2,708 followed by Bellefontaine with a 2,697 and Ben Logan with a 2,418.
The Indians were led by Dingledine, who rolled a 516 with games of 268 and 248.
Also for Mechanicsburg (16-1), Waller had a 197, 187 for a 384, Taylor Rausch a 183, 196 for a 379, Westfall a 203, 168 for a 371 and Ford a 193, 160 for a 353.
