EASTLAKE, Ohio (AP) — Police near Cleveland say a woman suspected of causing the death of her 21-year-old daughter has been arrested and charged with murder.
Court records show 50-year-old Sandra Speck was charged Tuesday. Eastlake police haven’t explained publicly why they believe Speck is responsible for the death of her daughter, Mindy.
Willoughby Municipal Court records show the Lake County Public Defender’s Office is representing Speck. A message seeking comment on her behalf was left at that office on Wednesday.
The younger woman’s body was found Monday when police officers were called to an apartment community in Eastlake where the two women apparently lived. Authorities haven’t released details about how Mindy Speck died.
Sandra Speck was being held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled for an Aug. 30 hearing.
