HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say police fatally shot a robbery suspect in southwest Ohio.
Hamilton police say the shooting occurred after officers responded to a “suspicious call” early Monday for a 24-hour drugstore and found an armed robbery in progress. Police say the shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a Walgreens store in Hamilton, about 30 miles north of Cincinnati. They didn’t immediately release the name of the suspect who was killed or other details of the shooting.
Police plan a news conference later Monday.
