1 of last 3 accused Ohio gang members enters guilty plea

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Another man accused of crimes committed as a member of a violent central Ohio gang has entered a guilty plea.

That decision means just two remaining defendants from the Short North Posse head to trial next month.

Authorities say Lance Reynolds, of Columbus, pleaded guilty in federal court there to one count of racketeering conspiracy on Wednesday.

The government says the 33-year-old Reynolds took responsibility for two previously unsolved murders in 2008 in Zanesville and 2010 in Columbus.

Reynolds faces up to 35 years in prison. A message was left with his attorney.

Defendants DeShawn Smith and Johnathan Holt are still scheduled for trial Sept. 26. They have pleaded not guilty.
