Convention director fired in southwest Ohio after arrest

HILLSBORO, Ohio (AP) — Officials in a southwest Ohio county say their convention director has been fired after his arrest on felony charges involving sexual material with minors.

Sixty-two-year-old Robert Lambert headed the Highland County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Hillsboro Police say the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation had investigated Lambert at their request, and search warrants were executed at Lambert’s home Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Todd Whited says Lambert was arrested on charges of pandering obscenity with a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.

He was jailed pending a Wednesday court appearance. No attorney information was available Tuesday.
