PENINSULA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say they’ve identified a woman who was found shot and injured along a park trail in northeast Ohio on July 3.
A spokeswoman for the FBI in Cleveland says investigators aren’t publicly naming the woman as the shooting remains under investigation.
Authorities had sought tips to help identify the woman after runners found her with multiple gunshot wounds in Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) Valley National Park. They said the woman was hospitalized and unable to speak with investigators, who haven’t provided updates about her condition.
They’re still seeking tips from anyone who might have more information about what happened to the woman.
