DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Lee Enterprises says it has appointed Roy D. Biondi as publisher of its newspapers in Waterloo-Cedar Falls and Mason City, Iowa.
Lee on Friday announced the appointment of the 54-year-old Biondi to lead the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier and Mason City Globe Gazette. He succeeds David Braton, who in March was appointed publisher of the Bismarck Tribune.
Biondi is currently vice president and group publisher for Consumer New Services/ThisWeek Community News in central Ohio.
He will begin his new position on July 5.
Davenport-based Lee Enterprises owns 46 daily newspapers and has a joint interest in four others. It also owns digital products and has nearly 300 specialty publications in 22 states.
