CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati police say a driver has been cited after a two-vehicle accident injured eight children who were not wearing proper safety restraints.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (http://cin.ci/1Yk8Uah ) the crash occurred on Bank Street around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say a Nissan carrying the children attempted to turn left in front of a Volkswagen Jetta, which had the right of way.
None of the children was wearing a seat belt or using a child safety seat. All were taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries.
The female driver was found at fault and cited with five counts of not using proper child restraints and one count of driving without a license.
Police have not identified the occupants of either vehicle or the woman’s relationship to the children.
