The Blade reports (http://bit.ly/1Z2VKwC ) Saturday morning’s reopening of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums center in Fremont is the start of a long weekend celebrating the center’s centennial.
The center is dedicated to illustrating the life and presidency of the 19th president of the United States. The facility’s 100th anniversary celebration will feature a beard contest, performances by the Ohio State University bands and a keynote speech from ABC News and National Public Radio analyst Cokie Roberts.
The renovations are the first the facility has seen since exhibits were installed in 1968.
