Wanted: Volunteers to clean up Cleveland for GOP convention

CLEVELAND (AP) — Officials in Cleveland are looking for volunteers to spruce up the city before the Republican National Convention rolls into town in mid-July.

They’re looking for folks who are willing to pick up cans, paper and litter along the city’s streets, highways and shorefront.

Cleveland.com reports (http://bit.ly/22hbmyl ) the big cleanup Cleveland event will take place on June 4.

Volunteers will be sent into the city’s 166 parks and 36 neighborhoods with safety vests, pickers and trash bags.

The Republican convention gets underway on July 18.
