Friday, May. 06 3rd anniversary of three women escaping from Ohio home after 10-year kidnap ordeal – 3rd anniversary of three women – Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight – being rescued from a home in Cleveland after being held by Ariel Castro, for around 10 years. Berry had disappeared in 2003 aged 16, DeJesus went missing aged 14 a year later, and Knight had vanished in 2002 aged 19 * Castro pleaded guilty in late July 2013 to nearly 1,000 criminal counts, including murder and kidnapping, and was sentenced to life plus 1,000 years. He was found dead a little over a month later, hanged in his cell in an apparent suicide
