CINCINNATI (AP) — Bond has been set at $5,000 for a man charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter in a crash that killed a Cincinnati firefighter who was riding to work on a motorcycle.
Court documents show bond was set Thursday in Cincinnati for 24-year-old Patric Tucker. Police say he was driving the car that struck firefighter Jordan Pieniazek (puh-NAY’-zek) on Sunday morning.
Police say Tucker’s car went left of center and hit Pieniazek head-on. Authorities say drugs and alcohol weren’t factors in the crash.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Tucker’s attorney, Clyde Bennett II, called the crash an accident.
Bennett couldn’t immediately be reached for further comment Thursday. His direct voicemail wasn’t accepting messages, and a message was left with a woman at his office.
