Mushroom hunters find skeletal remains, authorities say

SPRING VALLEY, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a forensic anthropologist will examine skeletal remains found by mushroom hunters in southwest Ohio.

Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer tells the Dayton Daily News ( ) the group had been in a wooded Spring Valley Township area late Sunday afternoon about 15 miles southeast of Dayton when they found the bones.

Authorities say the remains were about 50 feet from the roadway.
