LUCASVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A sheriff says a man has been arrested in the slaying of a man and woman whose bodies were found inside a duplex in southern Ohio.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini (duh-NEEN’-ee) said Tuesday that Anthony Colvin was caught Monday trying to escape through the window of a house in Peebles.
Authorities say 83-year-old Bobby Dehart and 62-year-old Nancy Culp were found shot to death in the duplex in Lucasville on April 13 after a neighbor called 911.
The sheriff says the suspect knew Dehart and was invited into the house the night of the shooting. The sheriff says the couple was shot after Dehart caught Colvin stealing money.
The 33-year-old Colvin has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder. A message was left with the attorney representing Colvin.
