Stocks are opening higher on Wall Street, led by gains in energy and financial shares.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise rose over 11 percent and Computer Sciences Corporation surged nearly 34 percent after HP Enterprise said it will sell its business service unit to CSC for $8.5 billion.
Chesapeake Energy rose nearly 11 percent as oil prices continued to climb.
Monsanto also rose after Bayer said it’s committed to completing its acquisition of the company.
The Dow Jones industrial average rose 110 points , or 0.6 percent, to 17,817. The Standard and Poor’s 500 index rose 12 points , or 0.6 percent, to 2,088. The Nasdaq composite climbed 22 points, or 0.5 percent, to 4,883.
