BALTIMORE (AP) — Carnival Cruise Lines says no one was hurt when a ship struck a gangway while docking in Baltimore over the weekend.
The incident occurred Sunday and caused a passenger boarding bridge to crash onto several parked vehicles.
Carnival Cruise Lines representative Jennifer De La Cruz said the gangway was not in use at the time, and no one was in any of the vehicles hit by the gangway.
The cruise was returning from an eight-day trip to the Bahamas.
She says damage to the ship was minor, and that it planned to depart on time Sunday afternoon for another cruise.
Port spokesman Richard Scher says the Carnival Pride is one of two cruise ships that have a home port in Baltimore.
