The Urbana High School Athletic Department has announced the dates for the 2017-18 school year Community Nights.
Last year, there was a goal of collecting $5,000 to open the gates for the first home football game, allowing free admission to anyone who was wearing Hillclimber gear.
The community support from individuals and businesses was outstanding, with an end result being $9,200 from those community donations. With that money, the school was able to do a football game, and the same for a boys and girls soccer game, volleyball game, wrestling match, swimming meet and a boys and girls basketball game.
This year, the goal is to do one Community Night for each of the high school sports as well as one night for each junior high sport.

JH Girls Basketball – December 7, 2017 vs. Ben Logan
Boys Basketball – December 8, 2017 vs. Bellefontaine High School
JH Boys Basketball – December 11, 2017 vs. Tecumseh
Wrestling & JH Wrestling – December 14, 2017 vs. Tecumseh and Ben Logan
Swimming – TBA
Boys and Girls Track April 2, 2018 vs. Tecumseh and Emmanuel Christian
JH Boys and Girls Track – April 10, 2018 vs. J. Alder, Em. Christian, and Fairbanks
Cross Country, Girls Tennis, Boys and Girls Golf, Boys and Girls Bowling, Baseball, Boys Tennis and Softball do not charge a gate and all of those home contests are free to attend, but they would love to see the community out to support them as well.
To be able to enter these events for free you must be wearing some sort of Urbana spiritwear.
