MECHANICSBURG – Mechanicsburg thumped Madison Plains, 18-5, in five innings of OHC softball on Monday.
For Mechanicsburg, Miranda Lauchard was 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and 4 RBI. Kasey Schipfer was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, Francys King was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Elysha Stapleton had a double and an RBI, Mary Mayo was 3-for-3 and Ceci Link was 2-for-2 with a home run and an RBI.
The Indians (1-4) travel to Southeastern today.
Triad softball falls
NORTH LEWISBURG – Northeastern used a five-run fifth inning to power past Triad, 9-2, in OHC softball on Monday.
Madison Dolby went 2-for-3 and Abby Ehrenborg hit a home run for the Cardinals.
Triad (4-5, 3-2 OHC) hosts Madison Plains today.
M’burg baseball prevails
MECHANICSBURG – Mechanicsburg defeated Madison Plains, 11-5, in OHC baseball on Monday.
Cam Atchison was 2-for-2 and scored three runs for M’burg. Abrahm Shelton was 1-for-2 with 3 RBI and Corey Bogan got the win, striking out 9 batters and allowing three hits over six innings.
Mechanicsburg (5-2) plays at Southeastern today.
Triad baseball wins
NORTH LEWISBURG – Triad beat Northeastern, 2-1, in eight innings of OHC baseball on Monday.
Shane Ford went 3-for-4 and pitched seven innings with no decision for the Cardinals (6-0, 2-0 OHC). Briley Harlan was 1-for-3 with a triple and got the win in relief. Noah Unger was 1-for-3.
Both runs came on squeeze plays for the Cardinals.

Graham softball wins
ENON – Graham defeated Greenon, 6-0, in CBC softball on Monday.
Alli Neeld went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, Madison Bryant went 3-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI and Ashton Curnutte was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Bryant got the win.
Over the weekend, Graham went 1-1 at Newton’s softball invitational.
The Falcons beat Franklin Monroe, 10-3.
In that game, Neeld was 3-for-3, Adrianna Hicks was 3-for-3, Bryant was 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and Curnutte was 2-for-4. Olivia VanHoose got the win.
The Falcons lost to Russia, 6-1.
In that game, Bryant was 2-for-3 with a home run, Hicks was 1-for-3 and Madi VanScoy was 1-for-3. Skylar Doroda took the loss.
Graham (7-1, 3-0 CBC) hosts Greenon today.

ENON – Greenon beat Graham, 8-0, in CBC baseball on Monday.
The Knights grabbed an early 6-0 lead with a five-run second inning and never looked back.

Tecumseh beat Urbana, 12-2, in CBC baseball on Monday.
Brayden Fain was 2-for-3 with both RBI for Urbana, which struggled with just five hits. Noah Ziegler was 1-for-1.

WL-S sweeps Greeneview
WL-S defeated Greeneview, 8-5, in OHC baseball on Monday.
In softball, the Tigers topped Greeneview, 11-0, in 5 innings. Kelsey Day was the winning pitcher with 9 strikeouts. Mady Stratton was 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, Day was 2-for-3 with a triple and 3 RBI and Tory Cordell also had a triple and base hit.
UHS tennis wins
Urbana beat Greeneview, 3-2, in non-league boys tennis on Monday.
At first singles, Andrew Fansler beat Will Irvin, 6-1, 6-2.
At second singles, Abe Angles beat Jake McComas, 6-4, 6-1.
At third singles, Cole Headlee beat Bene Hoepki, 7-6, 6-0.
At first doubles, Ethan Burnside and Jacob Coffey lost to Nick Smith and Noah Cogers, 6-1, 7-5.
At second doubles, Trevor Johnson and Ethan Headlee lost to Mitchell Link and Matt Hovan.
In jayvee singles, Troy Brown beat Darrian England, 9-7. In jayvee doubles, Isaac Kemp and James Karg lost to Mason Link and Collin West 8-1 and Conor Thomas and Joel Nutt lost to Matt Smith and Molly Terrell, 8-1.
Urbana (6-4) hosts Kenton Ridge today.

West Liberty-Salem lost to Greeneview, 7-6. Drew Buroker threw 6 innings for the Tigers and Zach Glock had 2 RBI.
Slo-pitch signups
Signups are now taking place for slo-pitch teams wishing to play in the Urbana City Adult Softball Leagues.
The Monday Night League is for Church and Recreation-level Modified Mixed Couples teams.
Thursday Night will be for Men’s “D” and “E” teams.
