NORTH LEWISBURG – Triad held off Troy, 5-4, in non-league softball on Wednesday.

The game was called after five innings due to lightning.

For the Cardinals, Maddy Collier earned the win, Abby Ehrenborg was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 RBI, Ali Dixon was 2 for 3 with a triple and Madison Dolby was 2 for 3.

Triad (3-4) plays at WL-S on Friday in OHC action.

West Liberty-Salem’s jayvees beat Bellefontaine’s freshmen, 20-2, in baseball. Drew Buroker and Zach Glock split time on the mound for the Tigers.
