Hosier wins state bowling title; Indians sixth

COLUMBUS – Ally Hosier won the individual state championship and Mechanicsburg finished sixth as a team at the Division II state bowling tournament on Friday.

Hosier rolled a 233-178-245/656 series to claim the title over Seven Hills’ Audrey Wilson (641).

For the Indians, Miranda Keene was 46th (182-171-148/501), Madison Boggs 74th (147-146-170/463), Amanda Coulter 79th (168-127-143/438) and Skyler Herron 82nd (115-169-146/430).

Triad’s Madison Dolby finished 20th with a 177-195-175/547.

The Indians qualified for the team championship round with the sixth seed, but lost to Norton in the quarterfinals, 182-174-200-192 to 148-151-203-185.

Coldwater won the championship over Willard.
