Ford leads Graham to win over Mechanicsburg

MECHANICSBURG – Graham senior Andrew Ford continued his quest for the CBC scoring title with 27 points – including 6 threes in the second quarter – as the Falcons defeated Mechanicsburg, 79-51, in non-league boys basketball.

Chris Taylor had 23 points for Mechanicsburg.

On Friday, Graham plays at Ben Logan and Mechanicsburg hosts Greeneview.

M’burg girls advance

The Mechanicsburg girls bowling team finished in third place on Wednesday with a 2,479 at the Division II sectional tournament to qualify for next week’s district tournament in Beavercreek.

The Indians were led by Miranda Keene, who finished with a 538, and Skyler Herron, who rolled a 525. Other scores for the Indians were Ally Hosier 518, Madison Boggs 454 and Amanda Coulter 444.

Graham had a 2,281 to place fifth, Urbana a 2,103 to place 11th and WL-S a 1,900 to finish 12th.

Triad plays tonight

In the Division III girls basketball sectional at Franklin Monroe, 17th-seeded Triad plays second-seeded Versailles today at 7:30 p.m.
