WL-S boys fall to Northeastern, 48-41

WEST LIBERTY – WL-S fell to Northeastern, 48-41, in OHC boys basketball on Monday.

Northeastern led, 30-22, at the half, but the Tigers rallied to take a 35-34 lead after three quarters.

For WL-S (10-7, 4-6), Tyler Louden had 14 points.

Northeastern won the jayvee game, 37-33. Eli McGill had 10 points for WL-S.

WL-S won the 8th grade game, 38-30. Trevor Woodruff and Ethan Larson each had 10 points for the Tigers.

Graham wins in bowling

The Graham boys beat WL-S, 2,350-2,090, in OHC bowling.

For the Falcons, Matt Case had a 133, Nathan Evans a 236, Tanner Monagahan a 192, Brady Oder a 196, Jake Moody a 140, Doug Johns a 116, Dalton Oder a 166 and Patrick Trace a 219.

For WL-S, Logan Tompkins had a 144, Isaac Riblet a 159, Hunter Smith a 145, Treven Marchal a 241 and Mike Price a 183.

M’burg girls win

Mechanicsburg defeated Catholic Central, 2,086-1,563, to improve to 8-0 in OHC girls bowling on Monday.

Ally Hosier led the squad with a 202-179/381. Skyler Herron had a 155-148/303, Miranda Keene a 158-138/296, Amanda Coulter a 138-132/270 and Madison Boggs a 140-127/267.

JH basketball

Mechanicsburg defeated Triad, 50-44, in double overtime in the OHC 8th grade girls tournament. For M’burg, Grace Forrest and Emma Violet each had 13 points and Jenny Wallace had 10. Cati LeVan had 17 points to lead Triad.

The WL-S 8th grade boys beat Springfield Catholic Central, 47-11. The Tigers (9-3, 9-1) were led by Tanner LeVan, Jace Wade and Tyler Douthwaite all with 10 points each.

In 7th grade boys basketball, Mechanicsburg beat Triad, 37-29. For Triad, Gage Phillips had 9 points, Ayden Sanford had 7 points and Wyatt Cole had 5 points.

Triad won the 8th grade boys game, 33-17. For Triad, Drew Campbell had 12 points.

Indian Lake beat Urbana, 28-25. Max Keely had 13 points for UJHS (4-11).

Indian Lake won the 8th grade boys game, 34-33.

Nolan Smith had 14 points and Phillip Bean added 11 for UJHS (2-13).
