WL-S girls knock off Indian Lake, 52-33

LEWISTOWN – WL-S defeated Indian Lake, 52-33, in non-league girls basketball on Monday.

The score was tied, 9-9, at the end of the first quarter but the Tigers took a 24-12 lead at the half.

WL-S owned a 34-23 lead heading into the final quarter.

For the Tigers (13-1), Lily Yoder had 12 points, Mikalia McIntosh had 11 points and Gabby Hollar added 7 assists and 4 steals.

UHS wins in bowling

Urbana beat Greenon, 2,782-2,340, in boys bowling.

For UHS (8-1), Luc Russell had a 247-210, Kyle Beavers a 214-224, Caleb Peterson a 173-204, Taylor Armstrong a 190-170 and Andru Troyer a 179-167.

The Urbana girls prevailed, 2,104-1,718.

For UHS (5-4), Kayla Evans had a 197-231, Olivia Krieger a 169-189 and Sarrah Baldwin a 140-171.

JH basketball

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade boys were defeated by Fairbanks, 56-26. The Tigers were led by Tanner LeVan with 9 points, while Nick Burden, Jace Wade and Isaiah McGill each had 4 points.
