Triad, Urbana earn victories

MECHANICSBURG – Hadley LeVan had 24 points as Triad defeated Mechanicsburg, 75-46, Friday night in OHC boys basketball.

The Cardinals led, 19-7, at the end of the first quarter and 37-19 at the half.

Triad owned a 52-31 lead after three periods.

For the Cardinals (4-2, 2-1), Jevin Edley had 15 points and Noah Unger added 11.

For the Indians (0-4, 0-3), Logan Hurst had 15 points, Joey Mascadri had 14 and Chris Taylor added 11.

Triad won the jayvee game, 45-13. Kobe Endicott had 11 points for Triad and Bailey Hursey had 8 for the Indians.

Urbana tops Shawnee

SPRINGFIELD – Levi Boettcher had 20 points and 8 rebounds as Urbana downed Shawnee, 63-44, Friday night in CBC/KTD boys basketball.

“We played a really good game and led by 20 at halftime,” said UHS Coach Jeremy Dixon. “From there, we just cruised to the win.”

Jace Underwood added 18 points and 6 assists for the Hillclimbers (4-3, 2-1).

Urbana won the jayvee game, 39-28. Grant Hower had 20 points and 10 rebounds for UHS.

The Hillclimbers won the 9th grade game and all eight Urbana players scored.

UHS plays at Troy Tuesday night in non-league action.
