North Union defeats Triad in boys basketball

BELLEFONTAINE – North Union defeated Triad, 65-43, in the season-opening Ben Logan boys basketball tournament on Friday.

The Cardinals trailed, 36-25, at the half and 51-36 after three periods.

Hadley LeVan paced Triad with 13 points.

The Cardinals will play either Riverside or Ben Logan here today.

WL-S/Graham bowling

Graham beat WL-S, 2,034-1,866, in non-league boys bowling.

Moody had the high score for Graham with a 161 and Marchal had the high score for WL-S with a 225.

WL-S defeated Graham’s jayvees, 1,601-1,590, in girls bowling.

For the Tigers, Erica McCall had a 151, 167 318 series, Ashlyn Parks a 123, 102 225 series, Rachel Larson a 109, 99 208 series, Lauren Hostetler a 118 game, Hailee Clifford a 108 game, Rylee LeVan a 100 game and Jillian Kirkham a 95 game.

In Graham’s 24-19 win over Urbana in eighth grade girls basketball, Mikayla Bailey had 7 points and Lexi King added 6 for GJHS.

In 8th grade girls basketball, Triad beat Ridgemont, 43-18. For Triad, Cati LeVan had 15 points, Baylie Plank had 13 and Frani LeVan added 12. Abby Walls and Joni Russell dominated the boards.
