Urbana teams sweep Tecumseh in CBC bowling

Urbana narrowly edged Tecumseh, 2,571-2,550, in boys bowling.

For UHS, Andru Troyer rolled a 202-196/398 series, Justin Brown had a 184-196/380, Luc Russell had a 179-196/375 and Taylor Armstrong had a 174-178/352.

The Urbana girls beat Tecumseh, 1,880-1,719.

For UHS, Lily Cooksey had a 175-176/351, Sarrah Baldwin had a 166-156/322 and Kayla Evans added a 152-160/312.

M’burg boys win

Mechanicsburg beat Southeastern, 2,668-1,845, in OHC boys bowling.

For the Indians, Preston Estep had a 207-162-369, Payton O’Laughlin a 162-200-362, David McMahill a 199-183-382, Jake Ripley a 210-222-432 and Caleb Westfall a 246-202-448.

WL-S bowlers prevail

West Liberty-Salem beat Greeneview, 1,788-1,511, in OHC boys bowling on Tuesday.

For the Tigers, Mike Price had a 176, Treven Marchal had a 158, Isaac Riblet rolled a 145, Hunter Smith added a 119 and Logan Tompkins had a 117.

Bellefontaine beat WL-S, 1,731-1,662, in jayvee girls bowling on Tuesday.

For the Tigers, Sarah Dalton had a 148-173/321 and Hailee Clifford had a 165-99/264. Jillian Kirkham had a 140 and Ashlyn Parks rolled a 129.

JH basketball

Mechanicsburg’s 8th grade girls defeated Triad, 46-32. For M’burg, Grace Forrest had 18 points, Megan Alsbaugh had 11 and Jennifer Wallace added 9. For Triad, Frani Levan had 14 points and Cati Levan scored 11.

West Liberty-Salem’s 8th grade girls beat Fairbanks, 44-4. For the Tigers, Selena Weaver had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Sophie Cole had 10 points and 5 assists.

The WL-S 7th graders beat Fairbanks, 38-11. Emily Hollar had 14 points and 7 steals.
