Rogan, Carafa each named Player of the Year

The Central Buckeye Conference recently released its All-Conference awards for soccer, cross country, tennis and volleyball.

In volleyball, Urbana’s Hunter Rogan was named the conference’s Player of the Year in the Kenton Trail Division. Joining her on the First Team was Olivia Dunham. Taylor Adams was placed on the Second Team, with Mackenzie Bean selected for honorable mention and Bridget Ofori earning the sportsmanship award.

Graham’s Carly Carafa was named the Co-Player of the Year in the Mad River Division. Joining her on the First Team were Molly Hamilton and Kaitlin Trace. Claire Comer made an appearance on the Second Team, with Katie Milligan receiving honorable mention and the sportsmanship award.

In boys’ soccer, Urbana’s Cooper Johnson and Caleb Peterson each were named to the First Team in the Kenton Trail Division, while Nick Agerter and Torgeir Slettedal made the Second Team. Noah Turnmire was honored with special mention and Nate Harrigan earned the sportsmanship award. In the Mad River Division, Graham’s Hunter Kauffman made the First Team. David Bailey, Brendan Gallagher and Brady Oder were named to the Second Team and Andrew Robeson drew special mention. Mark Hughes won the sportsmanship award.

In girls’ soccer, Urbana’s Telanei Brown and Sam Tracy made the First Team in the KTD, with Madisyn Horn and Cassidy James being selected to the Second Team. Taje Mack earned special mention and Marissa Horn nabbed the sportsmanship award. In the MRD, Ashton Curnutte, Alli Neeld and Natalie Woodward were selected to the First Team for Graham. Macey Blankenship, Kayla Tullis and Taylor White made the Second Team and Lilly Henkle earned special mention. Greta Rembold took the sportsmanship award.

In boys’ cross country, Urbana’s Austin Rooney made the special mention list and Jaxton Bloemhard earned the sportsmanship award. Graham’s Matt Flora, Tyler Callicoat and Nevin Hurst were each named to the Second Team in the MRD, with Daniel Wardley earning special mention. Wardley also earned the sportsmanship award.

In girls’ cross country, Graham’s Holly Kamper and Roxie Conn were named to the First Team in the MRD. Ashton Arnett and Macaylah Lyon were placed on the Second Team, while Conn took the sportsmanship award.

In girls’ tennis, Urbana’s Olivia Krieger and Briana Ussher made the First Team for first doubles. Haylee Johns earned special mention and Morgan Lattimer earned the sportsmanship award.
