GHS tops Greenon in volleyball

The Graham Falcons defeated Greenon, 25-12, 25-15, 25-18, in CBC volleyball on Thursday.

For the Falcons (7-3, 4-1), Carly Carafa had 19 kills and 2 blocks, Kaitlin Trace had 10 kills and 3 blocks and Molly Hamilton had 33 assists and 3 aces.

UHS falls to Ben Logan

Ben Logan beat Urbana, 25-18, 25-20, 25-21, in CBC volleyball on Thursday.

For Urbana (5-5, 2-3), Hunter Rogan had 14 kills and 9 digs, Taylor Adams had 18 assists and Bridget Ofori had 8 digs.

Ben Logan beat Urbana’s jayvees, 25-23, 25-22

For UHS, Maddy Johnson had 5 kills and 5 digs, Jessica Murray had 3 aces and 4 digs and Tiana Johnson had 8 assists.

Ben Logan’s freshman won, 25-16. 25-17.

Madison Markley had 2 aces and 2 digs and Jessica Murray had 3 kills and 4 digs for UHS.

M’burg soccer wins

Mechanicsburg beat Northeastern, 4-0, in girls soccer on Thursday.

For the Indians (4-2), Tori Jacobs had 2 goals scored, Skyler Campbell had one and Maggie Blanton added one. Morgan Hamby had 9 saves.

Graham girls win in soccer

Graham defeated Kenton Ridge, 2-0, in girls soccer on Wednesday.

Alli Neeld and Natalie Woodward each scored goals for the Falcons, with each assisting the other on the goals. Ashton Curnutte got her fourth shutout in goal for Graham (4-2-1).

Urbana boys fight to draw

Urbana and undefeated Northwestern played to a scoreless draw in boys soccer on Wednesday.

The Hillclimbers go to 2-3-2 (1-0-2 CBC) while Northwestern moves to 4-0-2 (1-0-2 CBC).

WL-S boys lose

The West Liberty-Salem boys soccer team lost to Miami East, 2-0. Zach McCall had 7 saves.

The jayvee Tigers lost to Tecumseh, 3-2. Zach McCall and Blake Kaminski scored in that contest, while Jared Bowden had an assist.

Triad boys golf loses

Fairbanks beat Triad, 171-179, in boys golf on Wednesday.

Alec Ober had a 40 and Caleb Young had a 41 to lead the Cardinals. Austin Deere shot 48 and Creighton Bradley had a 50.

The THS jayvees also lost, 203-205. Jacob Miller had a 46, Hunter Talbot shot a 52, Truitt Thomas had a 53 and Matt Florkowski had a 54.

Triad (2-9 OHC) plays at Mechanicsburg on Tuesday.

Cardinal girls fall

Triad’s girls golf team was defeated by Catholic Central, 212-216. Triad (9-4 OHC) was led by Macy Linscott’s 47. Lexi Moore had a 54, Jess Woodard a 55 and Kayleigh Boldman a 60.

WL-S golf wins

West Liberty Salem beat Springfield Catholic Central, 148-171, in OHC boys golf.

For the Tigers (11-1), Kannon Stillings had a 35, Dillon Callicoat a 37, Max Eggleston a 38, Michael Frederick a 38 and Logan Brown a 41

JH football

Shawnee beat Graham, 30-14, in 7th grade action.

Standouts for the Falcons were Zach Vanscoy, Seth Suttles and Brent Case.
