Urbana volleyball team falls to Shawnee

Urbana lost to Shawnee, 25-20, 13-25, 27-25, 25-19, in CBC volleyball on Monday.

For UHS (1-1, 0-1), Hunter Rogan had 21 kills and 14 digs, Taylor Adams had 27 assists and 10 digs and Olivia Dunham had 14 digs.

Shawnee won the jayvee match, 25-12, 23-25, 25-15, and the freshman match, 25-18, 25-15.

WL-S volleyball falls

Riverside defeated West Liberty-Salem 25-18, 24-26, 20-25, 25-20, 16-14 on Saturday.

For the Tigers, Tory Cordell had 15 kills, Kaylee Harrison had 9 kills and Alex Burton had 8 kills. Breann Koons and Allie Yoder each had 16 assists and Olivia Ames had 23 digs.

The WL-S jayvees won, 25-16, 25-11.

M’burg golfers prevail

Mechanicsburg defeated Southeastern, 182-202, in OHC boys golf on Monday.

Caleb Westfall shot a 38 to lead the Indians. Corey Bogan and Jack Shoemaker each shot 47, Keane Dunn shot 50 and David McMahill shot 61.

MHS (15-4, 1-0 OHC) hosts West Liberty-Salem today.

Triad golf falls

Triad lost to Madison Plains in non-league boys golf on Monday, 167-176.

Caleb Young led the Cardinals and medaled with a 38. Alec Ober shot a 42, Creighton Bradley shot a 48 and Braxton Perry shot a 48.

The Cardinals (0-3 OHC) visit Southeastern at Locust Hills on Wednesday.
