Former OSU players to appear in Mechanicsburg

MECHANICSBURG – Two former Ohio State football players who both played on the 2014 National Champion team will attend Summer Celebration at Goshen Memorial Park on Saturday, June 9.

Kato Mitchell and Jeff Greene will attend on behalf of Buck-Icon Foundation. They will have a booth where they can meet fans and take photos for a donation and also will have signed Ohio State merchandise for sale. Buck-Icon was founded by former Ohio State and NFL football player James Cotton.

Jeff Greene wore No. 89, is a native of Peach Tree, Ga., and transferred to Ohio State in 2013 after playing for Georgia Tech.

In 2014, he played on several special teams. He had a high of 22 plays in week 3 vs. Kent State.

Mitchell wore No. 18, is a native of Cleveland and joined the team in 2012.

In 2013 he saw his career best of 29 plays vs. Florida A&M and was a key member of the 2014 scout team in Ohio State’s run for the national title.
