Seeberg signs to play basketball at Rio Grande

Urbana High School senior Natalie Seeberg recently signed her national letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Rio Grande, and will be majoring in Sports and Exercise Studies starting this fall.

She has been awarded 10 varsity letters throughout her high school career – four in basketball, four in track and two in volleyball. She was a two-year captain on the basketball team during her time at UHS, while also receiving the Scholar Athlete Award, the Andrea Ault Memorial Rebounding Award and the Central Buckeye Conference Sportsmanship Award for the past two years. Seeberg has been a four-time CBC Scholar Athlete, and was selected to participate in the District 9 All-Star game this past season.

In volleyball, she was a captain this past year and was a part of the CBC championship team in the 2014 season. She received CBC honorable mention recognition in track during her junior season, along with being named the Most Valuable Field Event Athlete for the UHS track team.

Academically, she has been on the academic honor roll all four years, and has been awarded with many other academic honors, including the Spanish I, Biology, Spanish II, Physical Science, Social Studies II and Math Department Student of the Year.

Outside of sports, Seeberg has participated in concert band, orchestra, Tri-M Music Honor Society, travel volleyball, student council, AAU basketball, the Friends of Rachel Club, Climber Leadership and DECA, where she took home first place in the district competition, along with qualifying for the state competition.
