Decor and More auction is April 30

Preservation Alliance still seeking auction items

By Barb Perry - Champaign County Preservation Alliance

The sixth annual “Decor and More” Auction is fast approaching. We, the Champaign County Preservation Alliance, can use donations! The weather has been horrendous, but this weekend we have a warming trend and it will be easier to access your garage, attic, basement, etc. and dig out those treasures.

We are looking for antiques, glassware, furniture, quilts, rugs, collectibles, old toys, artwork, vintage linens, architectural pieces, lawn ornamentation, silver, brass, etc. So sorry we are unable to accept clothing, bedding, shoes, purses, exercise equipment, or general garage sale items.

You may drop off your donations at Mabry Auction Gallery 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 25-28. For those of you who are unable to drop off donations, please call Barb at 937-653-4776.

We appreciate your support of the auction. Monies raised will help fund the CCPA Residential and Business Facade Grants Programs, which encourage the preservation of our historical structures throughout Champaign County. Monies raised will stay in Champaign County.

The auction is open to the public to come and bid. The auction is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Mabry Auction Gallery at 1301 N. Main St. We have received some lovely items for our past auctions and hope to receive more for this auction. Entertainment will be provided by the “Dynamic Duo.” Who knows, you might find one that perfect item for your home.
