PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Need a friend? Domino is a terrific cat looking for a good forever home. His black and white coloring really stands out, making him a very handsome cat. Domino has a great personality and loves to play. He enjoys all sorts of kitty toys and napping in the cat tower. If you are looking for a faithful companion then Domino is just the cat! He is a quiet and mellow cat who likes attention. Barney is good with other cats and loves people. He is up to date on his shots and is neutered. Domino tested negative for feline leukemia and he is litter box trained. Please give Domino a chance to be your pal.

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or call 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Jaxs is our new boy here at PAWS. He is a very sweet 2 1/2-year-old Cocker Spaniel-Aussie, and maybe even a little Poodle thrown in the mix. He gets along well with the other residents here at PAWS in Urbana. He is up to date on his vaccines, heart worm negative and ready and waiting for his new home. He is a very loving boy, very eager to please. Come and meet this special boy.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Well, if you thought your family is mixed up, please meet Marbles, a 3-year-old blue merle, Chihuahua/Heeler mix. Marbles was brought to us from a shelter in another county where she was on the euthanasia list only because of over-crowding. Marbles has thrived in our smaller, quieter environment and is ready for her forever home. She loves to interact with people, including children. Marble is indifferent to cats but would be better in a home as the only dog. It is sometimes hard to tell in our environment, but we believe Marbles is house-trained or very close to it. She is very food motivated so finishing off her house-training would be a simple matter. Marbles would be a great companion for a family or someone wanting a dog to cuddle or walk.

Marbles, as with all Champaign County Animal Welfare League’s (CCAWL) pets, has been heart-worm tested, fully vaccinated, wormed, and treated with flea and heart-worm prevention. We are also vaccinating all of our dogs with the H3Nz Flu Vaccine. She has also been micro-chipped and comes with her 2017 dog license.

If you would like to meet Miss Marbles or any of our adoptable pets, please visit us at 3858 state Route 56, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044. We are open every day except Sunday and Tuesday and you may phone us at 937-834-5236 for our hours or check our webpage at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. You may see a listing of our available pets at www.adoptapet.com or www.petfinder.com. Also “liking” us on Facebook, will give you a preview of our newest arrivals.

We require an approved application for all adoptions. You may fill out an application in house or download an application from our webpage. Our adoption fee is $150.00 cash or check.

Especially, as we near the completion of our new facility, we are seeking caring and dependable volunteers who will enjoy working around our amazing animals. If you think we may be a good fit for you, please stop by our facility for a volunteer application. We will enjoy talking to you.

OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Aptly named Domino, this playful black and white cat has plenty of personality. He’s waiting for a forever owner to walk into PAWS Animal Shelter.

Marbles, 3, “escaped” an overcrowded kill shelter and now is happier at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League. Odds are she’ll be even happier when her special someone decides to take her to her forever home.
