Champaign County Arts Council awards English Scholarship for the Fine Arts

The Champaign County Arts Council selected MacKenzie McGill as the recipient of its 2017 Eva and Charles B. English Scholarship for the Fine Arts.

McGill plans to attend Capital University in the fall, where she will major in Music Industry, with a minor in Business.

An accomplished musician, she can play the flute, piccolo, piano and guitar. She is a member of the marching, concert and jazz bands at Urbana High School, where she is also involved in French Club, FFA and the National Honor Society. She is also a vocalist and sings with the United Methodist Church Choir.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a Champaign County high school senior who intends to continue to study the arts in college.
