PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

My name is Mallory and I am a quiet girl looking for a forever home. I like my fellow kitties and I am just the sweetest kitty you’ll ever meet. I have big, gorgeous, curious eyes and a lovable personality! I would love to find my new home with lots of places to explore and a warm lap to reside in at the end of the day. Wouldn’t you like to bring me home to make your home complete? I am up to date on my shots and spayed. I am litter box trained and I tested negative for feline leukemia. If you are interested in adopting me, please come to meet me.

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or call Paws at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Hey, my name is Toby and – could you be my miracle? I am a 5-year-old Beagle/Bassett mix who needs some special care. I was an owner surrender when my special needs became too much for my family. I’m a little guy, only about 30 pounds, who is presently having some severe hip pain. The wonderful people at PAWS Animal Shelter have taken me to the vet and I am under their care. They are trying to manage my hip pain and I am doing better. It is very stressful for me here at the shelter with the all the commotion with the other dogs….. I just wanna lay in my kennel and relax and they wanna play and bark….. Yikes!

Anyway, I sure need a home of my own. I am only 5 years old and the vets say that with medication and care, I can be a happy addition to your family. Won’t you please come and meet me and talk with the staff. They will be happy to give you more information about me.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Meet Mandy, a little bundle of fun! Mandy is a 7-year-old Schipperke who came to us from another shelter where she was deemed unadoptable due to obesity. Mandy weighed almost 26 pounds when she arrived at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League in December 2016. She now weighs just over 17 pounds and is much happier and healthier. Mandy is very active and loves her walks. She is good around other dogs but prefers all the attention. Mandy is very food motivated and will need to be restricted on her food intake as she will eat constantly. This sweet girl would be a great companion for anyone who is still a little active and loves to walk. Mandy is spayed, current on all vaccinations, wormed, heart worm tested and treated with heart worm prevention and a 3 month flea prevention. She has been micro chipped and has had a dental cleaning with needed extractions. Mandy is housebroken and crate trained. If you would like to make Mandy a part of your family please feel free to visit her and all our available pets at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

For more information, please call the CCAWL at 937-834-5236. Our adoption/donation is $130.00 and includes all vetting as well as a 2017 Dog License. We do require an approved adoption application for each adoption. You can find an application on our webpage at http://www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com/ or can come in and fill out an application at our facility.

For a complete listing of our available pets, please visit petfinder.com and/or adoptapet.com. To get a sneak peek at our newest arrivals along with our adoptions and current events please follow us on Facebook.

There has been an increase in “strays” recently, so please make sure your pet has proper identification as well as a current License. Identification will ensure your pet is not deemed abandoned or unwanted and can save a life. If you have Lost or Found a pet please contact the Champaign County Dog Warden 937-484-1613 and local Rescues and Shelters.

Social Media is a quick way to get information about a Lost or Found animal, however it is not always wise to post a picture. If someone is missing an animal they should be able to describe the animal and give details.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Ch-Chubbie and I am a Ch-Weenie. They say I am a hoot! I am 10 pounds of energy and think I am a Doberman. I love to go for runs on my leash, and I am house trained and crate trained. I tend to be barky at first, but once I get to know you and you are part of my pack, I am great. I am 18 months old and have already been neutered. I have had all of my shots. I am good with cats and dogs, but small children will be too much for me unless I am settled in and then they become part of my family. Won’t you come out and see me and maybe we can go for a good run!

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is located at 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. Our regular hours are: Open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We are in real need of lots and lots of paper towels! If you can bring us some we would surely appreciate it. Ch-Chubbie says…”Thanks so much for considering me and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes! OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Sweet Mallory loves to explore and to cuddle. She gets along well with other cats. She’s ready for adoption at PAWS Animal Shelter.

Five-year-old Toby is eager to leave behind the barking and romping around of his fellow pooches at PAWS Animal Shelter. He’d rather chill out and rest his aching hip. A vet is working with PAWS to ensure Toby gets proper meds for that hip and says he’d fit in well with the right family.

Seven-year-old Mandy is proof that one can lose weight. Within a few months she went from 26 pounds to a trimmer and happier 17 pounds at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League. Although she loves exercise, she still loves food a bit too much, so her new owners must take care. Stop by and check her out.
