PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

My name is Victoria. I’m a cute little girl, the best of two great breeds, Bassett and Lab. I have a Bassett body and a Lab nose and face. I’m really darling. I am a 2 year old little girl who loves walks and treats. I’m pretty short so you might have to help me into your car when you take me for rides. I take treats nicely and I love to be petted and have you talk to me. You see, I am enjoying the care I’m getting here at the Paws Shelter. My life has been really traumatic, I was saved at the last minute from the euthanization needle. There was no room left in the out of state shelter that I was in and I was put “on the list”. My angel appeared and brought me here to PAWS.

I am a little timid and shy at first, but who would blame me? I just need a little time to meet you and see your love. I’m a very sweet girl who would give anything to have a loving home with a family. Please see if I would be a fit for your home. Stop and meet me. Thanks, folks!

All of our dogs are looking for a loving home where they can be taken care of for the rest of their lives.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League (dog)

Oscar is a 4-year-old Maltese-Shih Tzu mix. This little fella weighs 8.5 pounds and is full of spunk. Oscar was a rescue from a puppy mill where he was used for stud. His coat was so matted he had to be completely shaved down. He however is very social and outgoing. Oscar has been neutered, heart worm tested, vaccinated, treated with heart worm prevention and flea prevention as well as wormed. He has also had a dental cleaning and is micro chipped. Oscar gets along fine with other dogs and doesn’t bother cats, he is great with everyone and doesn’t know a stranger. He is doing well on crate training but is not housebroken yet. If you would like to give this little guy a loving home please come out and meet Oscar at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. The adoption fee for Oscar is $130.00 and does include a 2017 Dog License. For a complete listing of our available residents please visit petfinder.com and/or adoptapet.com. A friendly reminder: As the weather gets warm the mosquitoes come out. We have had 3 cases of Heart Worm positive dogs this year so far (all from our area). It is a lot easier to prevent heart worm then to try and treat heart worm. Have your pet Heart Worm Tested today, and started on Heart Worm prevention- it can save their life.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Cammy and I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am so glad to be out of there. I am a Maltese girl of only 5 years old and I only weigh 8 pounds. So you see, I would not take up much space at all. Barely Used Pets got me all fixed up and I have all of my shots. I really didn’t get any good loving from my old place, but here at Barely Used Pets they just love on me like nobody’s business. I can’t get enough hugs and kisses. I love to be held and cuddled, even though I am a little timid. I just need a new forever home and family who will tell me every day that they need me and then give me a little hug. I will love you back so much you won’t be able to hold it in a bucket. You know, sometimes us little ones come from places that aren’t so good. We just need a chance to be happy. I feel like a little orphan girl who just wants her own bed and blanket, and maybe even a spot next to you on the sofa to watch a little television. I will also be your bestest friend and you can tell me everything, even how your day is going. I will be the best listener you ever had! Won’t you please come and see me and think about maybe letting me be part of your family…part of your every day. I would be so grateful just to have the chance to tell you every day how much I need you.

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is located at 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. Our regular hours are: Open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We need Clorox the most right now if you can drop off a couple of gallons for us! We need Lysol Lemon spray cleaner, paper towels, Dawn dish soap (original), and laundry soap. We can also use the elevated pet beds by Kuranda (go to kuranda.com). Any donations are always appreciated. Please take a look at our website for other ideas for donations. Cammy says…”Thanks so much for considering me and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes! OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Cammy didn’t get much love and cuddling at a puppy mill, but is making up for lost time at Barely Used Pets. Understandably timid at first, the 5-year-old Maltese loves affection and needs a cuddler to take her to her forever home.
