West Liberty-Salem’s Seniors of the Month for February are Kiana Reames and Adam Schultz. Here are their comments.

Kiana Reames

PARENTS: David and Wutko Reames

School Activities and Awards: I am involved in student council, National Honor Society, drama club, softball, and cross country.

If I were principal for a day: I would give someone a detention.

Favorite school memory: Throwing pie in Mrs. Sparks face in elementary for pie sales.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: Tracy Flora and my mom and dad…

Because: they are such strong and humble people. I look up to them with great respect and I strive to be like them everyday.

Lately, I have been reading: The constitution.

My advice to parents: Is to listen to your children, and to be more open minded.

My biggest regret: Not performing in the talent show.

Next year I will be: Attending Xavier University for Nursing.

Adam Schultz

PARENTS: Nancy and Christopher Schultz

School Activities and Awards: I’m involved in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and Link Crew. I am a four year football and basketball player and a three year letter winner and was honored with first team OHC this year for football.

If I were principal for a day: I would extend the amount of lunch time given to the students.

Favorite school memory: Beating Mechanicsburg, and tying for the OHC title in football, my sophomore year.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents, sisters, teachers, friends, and coaches.

Because: they have all kept me motivated to continually work hard both in athletics and academics

Lately, I have been reading: The Shining by Stephen King, Skinwalkers by Tony Hillerman, and Lord of the Flies by William Golding.

My advice to parents: Always advice your student to work on their assignments early and encourage them to be as active as possible.

My biggest regret: Holding off on my assignments until the latest possible time.

Next year I will be: Attending an undecided college but majoring in mechanical engineering.
