Countywide Cloverbuds group accepting members

By Carrie Ellington - Program Assistant - 4-H Youth Development

Champaign County 4-H is excited to once again offer our countywide Cloverbud group, Growing Clovers, as an option for Cloverbud-aged children in addition to our traditional Cloverbud involvement of the past. Any child age 5 and in kindergarten to age 8 and in 3rd grade as of Jan. 1 may join. Each meeting will have educational and fun activities planned, along with giving Cloverbuds the opportunity to form lasting friendships with other children from across the county.

In addition to our regular meetings, which will take place in the Champaign County Community Center auditorium, we have planned field trips to give our Cloverbuds the opportunity to learn more and see new parts of their county. June 15th and 16th we will offer Cloverbud Day Camp at the Champaign County Fairgrounds. We will also have fun, hands on activities planned during the Champaign County Fair especially for our Cloverbuds.

The cost to join is $20 for the entire year. Our next meeting will be held February 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Champaign County Auditorium. We will accept new members until March 1st. If you would like to register your child or if you have any questions, please call the Champaign County Extension Office at 484-1526.
