PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Hello Humans. My name is Jack the Lover and I am looking for you! You see, I am here at PAWS Shelter and I want a home of my own. I’m a young boy, maybe 1 year old. I love everyone and I behave very well. The Volunteers here have taken me on several Adoption Events and they tell everyone how special I am. I loved being petted and played with by all the little and big kids at the Adoption Events. The volunteers said I ride very well in the car, even without a kennel. I am a little pully on the leash, but I’ll get over that with a little training. All the other doggies here like me and I like them. My greatest trait is that I cuddle really well. I am healthy and ready to start my new life. and forget my old one. Please come and meet me. I will be such a wonderful family member for you….I promise.

All of our dogs are looking for a loving home where they can be taken care of for the rest of their lives.

PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Since October is here why not adopt a cute little pumpkin colored kitten? Dorito has a sunny personality just like his color! He is a delightful kitten. Dorito is a friendly boy who likes people and chasing toys. He enjoys sitting on your lap or just hanging out with you. Dorito has a great purr and has fun playing with his litter mates. Consider adopting Dorito and one of his sisters or his brother. They are up to date on their shots. The four kittens have been wormed and tested negative for feline leukemia. They are litter box trained. The kittens will have spay or neuter certificates when adopted. Consider adopting an adorable pumpkin colored kitten, or two for double the fun.

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078 or call Paws Animal Shelter at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent, 39 gallon trash bags and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations. We do not receive any city, county or state funding. We depend on public donations and our adoption fees to run the shelter. Please consider making a donation to help fund our shelter. This is puppy and kitten season. We often get in puppies or kittens with no mother. Consider fostering puppies or kittens. Sign up on our foster list. We are always looking for volunteers to come to the shelter and help out. You could play with the cats or dogs to help socialize them.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

“Dogs love company. They place it first in their short list of needs.” – J. R. Ackerly – Our little Coco has a very short list of needs: Love, food, warm bed and more love. He is a long-legged Chihuahua mix with a huge heart and was relinquished to us by a busy owner. Coco is only 9 months old and is full of puppy energy. He would love to play in the dog park and is willing and able to run with you during the day and snuggle with you at night. Coco weighs almost 13 pounds so he is portable as well. He gets along with everybody, adults and children, as well as other dogs and cats. Coco is also house-trained and would make the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend.

As with all Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) pets, Coco was completely vetted before being put up for adoption. Coco has been neutered, up to date on all vaccinations including rabies, worming, heart-worm testing and treated with flea and heart-worm prevention. CCAWL adopted dogs are all micro-chipped and have their 2016 dog license and dental cleaning. If you are interested in visiting Coco or any other of the adoptable pets at CCAWL, please call us at 937-834-5236. We are located at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, 43044. Dog and Cat adoption applications can be found online at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. You may fax an adoption application to 937-834-5171. A complete listing of our available pets may be found at www.petfinder.com and www.adoptapet.com.

CCAWL is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the pets of Champaign County. We always appreciate your donations of bleach, paper towels, collars, leashes, Clorox wipes and laundry detergent.

If you are looking to support CCAWL by volunteering, we would love to meet you. Applications may be picked up at our location. We also require proof of a current tetanus shot to accompany the completed application.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Luke and I am a little Boxer Mix boy. I came here with 5 brothers and sisters to find our new forever homes. I am all puppy, but I am really kind of laid back and not so much jumping around all the time. I love to cuddle and just lay my head up under your neck. If you love naps, I am your boy and we can nap every day. I could also watch TV with you. Please come and see me and take me home. I have all of my shots and they got me “fixed.” I don’t know what that means, but I feel fine and they say I’m ready to go home to my new family. Please find room in your heart and your home for me. I will be a good boy and you can watch me grow up!

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is at our new location of 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. We are open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-6pm, Fridays 10am – 5pm and Saturdays 11-2. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We need Lysol Lemon spray cleaner, paper towels, Clorox, Dawn dish soap (original), and laundry soap. We can also use the elevated pet beds by Kuranda (go to kuranda.com). Any donations are always appreciated. Please take a look at our website for other ideas for donations. Please note that our garage sale originally scheduled for August 20th has been delayed…we’ll be having it on October 8th! Please bring your gently used items to us as donations for the sale…and of course PLEASE come to the Garage Sale on Saturday October 8th!

Thanks so much for considering me and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes!
