Crash injures Mechanicsburg man


A Mechanicsburg man was injured Friday morning in a single vehicle crash in the 3000 block of East state Route 29. According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, a 2004 Toyota driven by 35-year-old Joseph Dixon of Mechanicsburg lost control west bound on Route 29 exited the north side of roadway striking a culvert causing the vehicle to come to rest on the passenger’s side. Dixon was transported to the Mercy Memorial Hospital emergency room by Urbana EMS with non life-threatening injuries.
