Warning: Bandit is in the house and stealing hearts! Please do not approach unless you are prepared to fall in love instantly. Bandit is a one-year-old Chihuahua mix and weighs in at 11 pounds. He is house-trained and wants his own family to cuddle and protect. Bandit also likes respectful children but they should be supervised because of his smaller stature. He walks well on a leash and squeaky toys are required. As with all Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) pets, Bandit is completely vetted before adoption. Included in the $130 adoption donation is spaying/neutering, vaccinations including rabies, worming, heart-worm testing and treated with flea and heart-worm prevention. CCAWL adopted dogs are all micro-chipped and have their 2016 dog license and dental cleaning. If you are interested in visiting Bandit or any other of the adoptable pets at CCAWL, please call us at 937-834-5236. We are located at 3858 SR 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, 43044. Dog and cat adoption applications can be found online at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. You may fax an adoption application to 937-834-5171. A complete listing of our available pets may be found at www.petfinder.com and www.adoptapet.com. This spring season has presented a large number of kittens throughout the county that will only add to our feral cat problem. As the requests keep growing for help with the feral cat population, CCAWL is seeking motivated volunteers to help with a variety of duties. We need help with passing out flyers, trapping, hauling and returning, as well as cleaning cages. If you are interested in joining the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) Task Force, please call 937-834-5236. Anything you can do will make a big impact on our community. In our efforts to help our county with the cat situation, we hope to start construction on our “Kitty City” this summer. More details to follow at a later date.
