Trout earns appreciation plaque

Jerry Trout of Urbana returned from his usual winter in Florida with a 2015 Volunteer of the Year plaque from the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office. A former Tuscarawas County deputy, Trout and his wife, Phyllis, have wintered in Florida 14 years. Each winter he volunteers with the sheriff’s office, riding with deputies and helping with various tasks.
